Verdant maîtrise donc tout ! Nez cacao, en bouche on est sur du malt grillé, c'est gourmand avec des notes de café, c'est équilibré et franchement onctueux, trop bon !

Russian Imperial Stout by Verdant. I'm a big fan of the idea that "hype" breweries are brewing beers such as this one. Canned on 14.10.2020 Temperature: +13 C Black colored brew. The head is quite large, creamy with just above average retention. Lots of lace. The texture looks medium-thick: 4,5/5 The nose offers basic, but strong roasty, coffee, and chocolate aromas. Mild bready maltiness and just a tad of darker fruits. This offers everything a RIS should have but the aroma lacks power. And I think this could benefit for some alcohol aroma as well: 3,75/5 Mouthfeel is full, round, roasty, and slightly bitter. Also, there's some sort of powder-ish feel: 4/5 The taste has some grainy malt flavors, bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, mild residual sweetness. No surprises here: 10,5/15 Decent RIS but doesn't excite you. Higher alcohol content would make some more complexity and light up the beer. Reminds me a lot about Brewdog's Imperial Stouts: 14/20 =36,75/50
