Good beer, easy to drink with slight bitter hops aftertaste.

Quite malty for an amber ale, a refreshingly balanced drink. Good. Also has one of the great beer names, which gets it an extra half star.

A rich grainy dark caramel aroma is given off by a coppery amber coloured beer. The one I poured had a moderate head that dissipated early. But that could be my fault. Medium bodied and sweetish it packs the rich caramel with it and a slight woody taste as well. It seems balanced fairly well with an earthy hops bitter that holds back a little. A little sweet for my disposition but enjoyable.
