Foggy, deep orange beer with anxious carbonation releases a snow-white, fluffy head that shoots up to three fingers. Long retention keeps blowing life into the froth. Gradually, the foamy lid melts to a gossamer lace ring orbiting the top. The nose wants to dive into a pool of peach nectar that penetrates the air bravely. While the peach is number one fruit in the scent, passionfruit fights for the victory but gives eventually up and comes second. Wheat dough gives a gooey impression in the fragrance, and lactose rounds the corners effectively. A pinch of mango steps into the picture at the last minute. The tastebuds can't decide which fruit wins: peach or passionfruit. They seem to be very equal. Sourness stays at a decent level but is by no means timid. Mango, indeed, refuses to stay hidden although it's not supposed to show up here. Wheat malt performs protectively whereas lactose seems to retreat to the shadows. The body is surprisingly robust at 3.8 %. It's not full, not even close, rather light but definitely bigger than the ABV would suggest. The finish is equally difficult to assess as for the order of peach versus passionfruit, let it then be a tie. The aftertaste dances out of sheer passion for a long time. The mouthfeel is light, juicy, moderately tart and acidic. It's also tropical, balanced and refreshing as well as natural. NOTE: The barcode directs to "Passion Sour" of 3.9 % by the same brewery, obviously a close relative but not a clone. "Passion Sour" is made of passionfruit whereas this "Passion Sour Ale" contains both passionfruit and peach. #summerbeer22

Passion et pêche à fond de balle. Rafraichissante et acidulée à souhait... c'est un cocktail plus qu'une bière mais c'est réussi...
