Los Muertos Cerveza Negra is a dark coloured lager made from a mix of Pilsner, Crystal and Munich malts. This combination imparts the great maltiness of the beer. Using a lager yeast, it is fermented at lower temperatures which gives it crispness and its refreshing taste. It is reminiscent of a light German Bock, but with a Mexican twist.

A decent and mild beer pouring a rich red brown. The head is average becoming a thin layer that leaves spotty lacing throughout.
The nose is a little complex and includes caramel, dark bread, biscuit, raisin or plum, dried fruit, tea, and an herbal grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is thin, and slightly creamy.
The flavour profile is dry, bready, caramel, leafy lemongrass hops, and hints of dried fruits. The hops add a bitterness that reminds me a bit of an ESB. Quaffable and easy, but not outstanding.

Really dark chocolate with a hint of bitters and metallic aftertaste.
Would pair well with a steak.
