Tasty beer, prefer it nice and cold. Pretty strong for a pale, tastes like an IPA

Thanks peachmeat for giving this one to me. The nose on this is quite long for a pale ale. A nondescript citrus is the predominant feature but it has some minor stonefruit suggestions. I'm getting mango. There seems to be some minor pine as well. There are some malt notes that make it through the hops and it comes across as a nice toffee. A good glass helps display this beers orange gold color and allows it make a fairly standard head. Category 12 make a some well built beers that are bursting with flavour and strength, this is not a departure from that path. The body is quite hefty and full for a pale ale. The mouthfeel is mildly creamy with some carbonation tingles that are promoted by the hops bitterness. The flavour displays more of the pine with the citrus as a sidekick. Especially as it warms. I wishni could get more of the malts from this but those hops are stealing the show. I'd like to say this borders on an IPA, but I think it has passed the checkpoint into that territory already. Still dig it though.

Very hoppy and citrusy! The beer is exactly what it clames to be. So I will give it a good revew. But I don't care for it at all lol .

Not a lot of depth here. The hoppy bitterness is so dominant it makes me think I ought to have picked up an IPA instead. I know Cat 12 is capable of better, so here is hoping they reformulate their pale ale and give more for a mouthful.
