Iceberg Gose 2: Global Warming, Finland
3.0
Rather limpid, gold beer with decent, long-lasting carbonation sets a pure white, fluffy head that builds itself up to two fingers. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a thin lacing decorating the top. The retreating foam paints the glass with thick wrapping. The scent is sour citrusy, I get lemon pulp and a bit of pith only. The fragrance is quite numb overall. The tongue feels tweaks on its sides as the lemony tsunami is joined by passionfruit and raw gooseberry. A distinct note of wheat malt approaches the taste receptors and avoids being stuffy. Interestingly, I can't depict any salt although the name claims this is a Gose. The light-bodied beer finishes with no difference from the actual gustatory experience. The aftertaste vanishes rather quickly from the mouth. The mouthfeel is light, substantially tart and puckering. It's also refreshing and summery as well as basically clean but won't stand out of the crowd.
