Enemmän neipamainen, kuivahko, raikkaat humalat.

Jännä, todella jännä loppumaku mistä en oikei saa kiinni ja vetää ehkä hieman liian kauas omasta makumaailmasta.

Kaapin perälle oli unohtunut yksi Maistilan kesäolut, vai liekö peräti kevään puolelta. Parasta ennen 7/2020 eli ei ainakaan aivan tuore tapaus.
Kultainen olut. Massiivinen valkoinen vaahto. Sävy on hedelmäinen, hieman tunkkainen.

The strong hoppiness gives this beer some structure, you can almost taste the alcohol, but not quite. Was expecting more haziness, but the beer is quite clear. Nice scent when first smelling the beer.

Having spent hours in the forest and swamp picking mushrooms (mainly orange pine moletes) and cloudberries, it's now time to prepare bbq. An easygoing NEIPA will accompany me in the meanwhile.
The beer colors semiclear, honey-amber. The rich carbonation unlocks a cloud-white, frogspawn-resembling head that exceeds first two fingers. The foamy cap descends slowly to a thinner but still cute lacing wafting on the surface. The retreating froth paints the glass with multiple tiny spots.
The fragrance offers a bit stale aroma like rottening citrus and faint papaya. The scent displays also some grapefruit zest, slightly grassy hops and a subtle floral note. I assume that the moderate staleness is due to the yeast Brux Trois or wheat malt or the combination of the two. Otherwise I would guess there might be an off-flavor looming in the background. I hope it's not the case though.
The taste reveals no actual off-flavors but I can detect a faint farmhousey twist though. The palate is appealingly tropical and zesty, displaying mango, apricot, pineapple as well as orange, mandarin and a small injection of lime peel on the citrusy side. The hops are grassy.
The body is light-medium. The beer finishes with peach, apricot, mango and pineapple. Perhaps a bit of orange juice, lime and mandarin pulp can also be depicted. The hoppy touch becomes truly subtle in the finish. The aftertaste spreads tropical fruity slams here and there around the tastebuds for a short to medium time.
The mouthfeel is tropical, juicy, extraordinarily zesty and pulpy. It's also remotely earthy and modestly stale.
