Quite the drink! Like a barleywine but paler and like a Belgian strong ale but less Belgian! Malty, with caramel sweetness and a raisin-like fruitiness. Herbal overtones from the hops, I think. It’s such an interesting beer I’m not sure what I’m getting from the hops. It’s very good though, certainly a big beer that serves as a solid alternative to standard imperial strength drinks
