Christmas Beer Advent 2020 Day 3 Another great beer... the second beer I’ve had this week with cardamom in it, and only the third I’ve ever had. How do I know I’ve had 3? Because they’ve all been memorable. I have no idea where the name Cake comes from because I’ve never tasted cake like this, it’s more hinting towards a Levantine dessert or a Turkish coffee. I expected it to be sweet but it wasn’t overly so, I think the vanilla provided a subtle balance to the other flavours. Cardamom stands out against a coffee led backdrop, with almond present too. Aroma is mainly of almond and mild caramel. No evident head but a medium carbonation held strong throughout.

Tuoksussa minttusuklaata. Aavistuksen vetinen alkumaku, minttuisuus jatkuu maussa tuoden samalla suklaata esiin enemmän. Ihan ok mutta jotain ryhdikkyyttä jää kaipaa. Hieman sekava.
