Foggy, dark raisin brown beer with tame carbonation releases a subtle, cream-colored head that spreads as a silky layer on the top. The retention of the lacing is exceptionally lengthy.
The fragrance releases subdued nuances of apricot, orange peel, rather thin fruit wine and a drop of fruity whisky. A remote whisper of toffee joins the crew.
Whisky intensifies significantly on the tongue. It's fairly alcoholic and somewhat harsh, yet also nicely fruity. I also find a bit of fermented apricot, medium-sweet malt and a proposal of orange peel.
The body is light-medium or slightly more. The beer finishes with rather strong, harsh and fruity whisky, accompanied by a pinch of fermented raisin, some bitter syrup and a drop of dried apricot. The aftertaste moves away from the tastebuds after a while.
The mouthfeel is strong, alcoholic, quite rough and young as well as barrel aged.
