Flight 3/3. Murky, orange-juice-colored beer with lively carbonation builds a bubbleless, mousse-like, brilliant white head that fails to reach one finger. The remaining lace ring looks dense while the lacing is truly gossamer. I can't depict any spots on the glass. The nose receives wheat biscuit, wheat bun and a tad fermented banana. Fermented banana continues on the tongue. It's accompanied by strong wheat malt and a tad wheat biscuit, further followed by a rather hefty alcoholic note. Still further, I get a tiny pinch of lemon zest and bitter orange peel among the gustatory elements. The body is light-medium. The beer finishes with strong fermented banana with an alcoholic tang, some fermented citrus, lemon peel and somewhat stuffy-turning wheat malt. The aftertaste kicks the tastebuds' asses for a long time. The mouthfeel is rather light, alcoholic and a bit tropical. A decent beer but falls considerably short of expectations as a Weizen-Doppelbock.
