Kermainen vaahtopää oikein samean oranssinkeltaisen nesteen pinnalla. Tuoksu on saisonmaisen pisteliäs, yrttinen ja hapan. Tuoksu on voimakkaampi kuin maku. Alkupuoli on hyvin laiha. Loppupuolella maltaan hentoa vivahdetta ja katkeraa ja pistävää saisonille tyypillistä humalointia.
