We all love churros! Well, we do, and evidently our friends from across Europe do too. We invited our friends from Austmann (Norway), Lumi (Finland), Horizont (Hungary), and Balkezes (Hungary) to come and brew something absolutely ridiculous. Think milk* chocolate, cinnamon, hazelnut** and marshmallow, backing the 11% monster that is this collaboration. Churros Imperial Stout by Heist/Austmann/Lumi/Horizontal/Balkezes
I’m not sure how a collaboration of such magnitudes actually works (5 breweries from 4 countries) but whatever it is these guys did, they pulled it off quite well. I was apprehensive at first, I’m a big fan of imperials especially barrel-aged, but I find some of adjunct added beers to be a bit underwhelming.
Each individual added flavour is well balanced and adds something that altogether make for an interesting beer. Churros indeed, and not overly boozy.
