Hand-pick this vine-ripened imperial stout, redolent with rum & raisin richness. Dark fruit, dark chocolate and dark coffee swirl into a cone of bitterness from the Simcoe hops. The finish arrives, warm & welcome as a Californian sunset, leaving long shadows of vanilla and dried fruit.

Smooth pour, body is velvet and jet black.
Aroma is all chocolate malt and dried fruits,
Taste is boozy, the rum comes through early. It subsides and the chocolate malt and fried fruit come through. When that fades, a vanilla hue flows in, maybe from the rum? Could be a little less sweet. Quite nice either way, would enjoy it again.

Scent has roasted malts and dried fruits.
Taste has burnt, roasted malts, dried fruits, raisins. Some dark rum is present.
Fluffy, semi-thick mouthfeel. Bit light.
Well, when I got this Xmas calendar, I wasn't even sure if I wanted to drink it at all. Rum and raisins is a nice combination, but it doesn't really give that good of an impression in case of this beer. Just not fan of the taste here.

Aika rusinainen, makea, kaakaota, kuivaa luumua, pehmeän tukoisa.
