In 1991, Drake's put its first IPA into the tanks for the ever-growing number of craft beer fans yearning for hops. Originally more of an English-American hybrid IPA, over time Drake's brewers kept the high quality specialty malts but moved toward a more West Coast approach. They ultimately created the balanced, dry IPA brimming with piney and citrus aromas from classic Yakima Valley "C" hops (think Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus) that continues to win over hop fans with every pint.

Hyvä hedelmäisyys, hyvät katkerot. Rapea suu tuntuma.

First beer in San Francisco - having been up for nearly 24 hours and feeling slightly delirious. I drank this at The Top of the Mark bar overlooking the city and Golden Gate Bridge at the highest point of a bloody great hill. A good start though - plenty of hops and fruit with a touch of sweet pine. Brewed just up the road in California - reminded me of Lagunitas IPA which is also local. Exactly what I'd expect from a West Coast beer if not a world beater.
