Dessert beer - pairs well with chocolate mellow and full of coconut as advertised on the pallet and to the nose… nice

This is the fifth beer in Clown Shoes 12 beers of Christmas collection. I've had a few of their Sombrero stouts before with mixed reviews. Hope this Mexican style coconut flavor is good. Both of us had the same result when opening the can, a lot of head and foam spilling out onto my tray. In the glass, it again had a super high head that made us wait a long time before trying it. Aroma gives both vanilla and coconut. Texture is smooth and soft with the effervescence again showing itself. Vanilla is the first flavor, a little stronger than the coconut it's combining with. The vanilla came across as a raw flavor while the coconut seems slightly charred. In the finish a cocoa chocolate appeared, not the milk chocolate I would expect from a Mexican style beer. None of the cinnamon that is traditional to Mexican chocolate, perhaps the slightest amount of black pepper late. Overall it's still a pretty good beer but my expectations were too high. The lack of cinnamon was disappointing and the effervescence was too intense.
