Departure beer ✈️ Checked the taxfree selection of several mead collections. I have tasted them all. Disappointed I am. First world problems. Need to flush my disappointment down with a beer.  😅 Fortunately, I have one small bottle of Mead that I haven't tasted before and that I found in a specialty shop in the old Vilnius market hall. A man's got to do what a man's got to do. But now this beer. It's limpid copper. The lively carbonation builds a whipped-creamy off-white head that shoots three fingers high and dissipates gradually to a thick messy lacing. The scent is malty. That's the first impression. Apricot and grapefruit peel accompany the cocktail. The malty slam carries my tastebuds to the next level. Biscuit, graham cracker, dried apricot, grapefruit, resin and a hint of raisin seal the gustatory deal. Over and out. The body is medium-full. Very welcome! The end is malty, bitter citrusy and resinous. Lingers fairly long in the mouth. The mouthfeel is medium-full, smooth, a bit crisp, a tad dry and drying. Old-school, no doubt.

Ompas tunkkainen ipa. Katkeruutta löytyy loppumausta, mutta makuelämys ei miellytä minua henkilökohtaisesti. Tulee vähän jokin red ale tms mieleen

Vahvaa, voimakasta IPAa, tuhdisti katkeroa.
