0,33l bottle from beer tulip. Beautiful Amber color with red tint. No foam. Smells like sweet dried fruits and caramel. Low carbonation, almost still. Very sweet first sip. Wet malts, caramel and yeast. Very fruity, dried fruity to be exact. Plum, apricot, raisin, pear and apple. Very much on the sweet side. There is a malty midnote, with sweet caramel and bread. Plums come forward as the beer disappears from the glass. Hops are pretty hard to find. Just a tad of citrus in the end. Pretty much no bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden under the sweet taste. Lacks the complexity to be a great barley wine. Taste is very sweet and fruity, but also quite lame and "easy". Maybe a few years of maturing could be beneficial. Would recommend as one of the first barley wines, but for a seasoned pro: don't bother.
