Time for White pony microbrewery and Dead sun rising. It's an imperial dark smoked saison, so it says on the can. Can's appearance itself isn't very appealing to me. Hopefully taste pleases my palate.
It pours opaque black color with brownish head reaching about two fingers height. It's quite airy and fluffy. As it slowly dissolves there's some lacing on the sides.
Smoked beer with only a subtle smokey aroma. More fruity and sweet in my opinion. Roasty malt and coffee, lots of liquorice and traces of chocolate. A bit boozy also.
Taste has loads of liquorice, slightly sweet with chocolate and fruit which I can't get my tongue quite on it, roasted malt, coffee.
Warming boozy feeling and just slighlty bitter aftertaste. Oily and semi-thick texture.
Yet again one tasty beer to my palate. Nothing out of the ordinary but all in all good.
