The scent is rather rough with an abundant pour of rum and wet oak barrel, seasoned with a dollop of overstayed black coffee, a pinch of ash and very distant tobacco. The taste follows the suit: strong young rum with an oppressive boozy tang, a powerful punch of wet oak barrel, a bit of black coffee and a faint note of raw chocolate. I can also pick whispers of soot and ash behind the scenes. The body is surprisingly weak, maximum light-medium. The beer finishes with harsh young rum, disturbingly penetrative alcohol with a strongly chemical punch, a bitter nuance of black coffee and burned coffee beans. Tobacco and ash linger unpleasantly on the sides of the tongue for long. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily strong, truly sharp, too boozy and chemical but also nicely throat-warming. It's rather tangy and pungent, young, coarse, woody as well as slightly lip-glueing. Challenging! Nevertheless, with an ABV of 12 %, one should be able to enjoy a more robust-bodied brew than this.
