With my son-in-law at the beer seller Houston trying out another unusual brute. Black color. Aroma of alcohol, a little fudge. Medium texture. Alcohol is the first thing I get. Heavily roasted chocolate. That roasted chocolate blasts through the finish with an alcohol quality that seems stronger than the 9.8% listed. 903 strikes again.

On tap at Craft 96. Very little head. Texture is very thick and heavy, almost syrupy. Very strong flavor. Smell maple maybe chocolate. Very very sweet. Chocolate flavor is pronounced. Can't taste the alcohol, which is dangerous at 10 percent. Long sweet faintly bitter finish. Would have gotten a higher score if it wasn't quite so heavy. I call this a desert beer. Sip, enjoy, but one is enough.
