This time around the malt is sheep dung smoked resulting in a very interesting aroma of leather, in addition to roasted corn, burned sugar and darker tones of chocolate, strong coffee and licorice. Surtur is named after Surtr (Old norse "black" or "the swarthy one”) a devil giant in Norse mythology foretold as being a major figure during the events of Ragnarök.

4 vuotta pullossa köllötellyttä stoutia. Lähti matkaan aikoinaan Krakovan reissulta. Maku on paahteinen, savuinen, jopa hieman tupakkainen sekä vähän suklaatakin pystyy maistamaan. Jälkimaku on hieman kitkerän lakritsainen. Kokonaisuudessaan savuisuudesta ja pienestä kitkeryydestä huolimatta aika pehmeän makuinen kokonaisuus. Varmasti kypsyttely hieman pyöristänyt särmiä.

Nez porter, carbonatation un peu plus prononcée que les autres islandaises. Fumé exceptionnel dans cette édition 2022 (premier test de celle-ci en 2017).
