Impérial baltic porter, nez BA, bouche chocolat noir, fût très longue avec une petite amertume

Puissante Imperial stout, maturée en fûts de rhum. Belle amertume, longue de ouf!

Björn. Vintage 2020. ABV=12%. Black and iron. Axes and shield. Norse font. Looks primitive. Opaque black beer moves slowly. Like oil. This kind of beers don't normally brag about lively carbonation. Neither does this one: carbonation is enslaved. A shy chocolatey head spreads on the top and moves quickly to the underworld. The ruler of Ásgard filters a few nuances for the nose to enjoy: licorice, roasted malt and burned peat. The peat is particularly interesting since it's normally associated with Scotch, especially Islay. This is not whisky barrel aged. This is rum barrel aged. I don't know if peaty rum exists but I doubt. [It actually does exist, I googled.] The gustatory cosmos is composed of ample licorice, cough syrup, burned malt and peat. Freya emits smoke while Njörðr applies tar on the tastebuds. Moreover, colossal alcohol soaked oak barrel and a whisper of burned cane sugar flank the central Yggdrasil. Eight worlds, one is missing. The consequence is that I wouldn't recognize this as rum barreled but rather a whisky barreled brew. Ragnarök proves that the body is robust. The finish releases even more licorice than before. Thor is locked up in a barrel and almost drowns in the sacred brew of Æsir gods. The mouthfeel is truly intense, robust, deep, exceptionally thick, oily and strongly medicinal. It's also roasty and burned, little carbonated and characterful. Viking kings hail Björn.

12% versio. Mustaa. Lähes vaahdoton. Tuoksu paahteinen ja romminen. Maku suklainen, kahvinen, rommia ja pikku alkon maku ja lämpö(3/7/20) Miellyttävä olut.

Välillä tummaa lasiin. Rommitynnyröidyt yleensä toimii itselle hyvin, joten let's see 😎🍺 Tuoksu on todella romminen ja hieman paahteinen. Myös turpeista mallasta nousee nenukkaan. Suutuntuma on kevyt ja öljyinen. Rommia löytyy kyllä reilusti ja tammista tynnyriä. Turpeista savuisuutta tunkee myös hieman esiin. Snadisti suklaista fibaa myös. Kivasti jää rommi ja turpeinen maanläheisyys häilymään suuhun. Suutuntuma on kieltämättä kevyehkö, mutta itseäni se ei porterissa haittaa. Päinvastoin ehkä jopa kuuluu siihen. Kivasti lämmittää loppupuolella romminen piraattiveneen tuulahdus, kun Jack Sparrow nostaa kannua huulille (vaikka tämä nyt "viikinkiolut" olikin, niin rommista tulee aina em. henkilö mieleen) 🍻

Ölig, schwarz und unergründlich liegt Björn im Glas. Die Nase ist geprägt von Rum, Vanille und Mokka. Schon der Antrunk ist super cremig. Malz, Mokka, Vanille und Rum sind wunderbar zu schmecken. Im Mittelteil tritt der Rum deutlicher zu Tage. Der Nachtrunk schließt mit angenehmer, starker alkoholischer Wärme. Fazit: Ordentlicher Trunk, toll für Winter und Dessert.

Farbe: dunkles Braunschwarz Duft: Kaffee, Likörnoten, Schokolade, leichte Vanille, leichte Röstaromen Geschmack: im Antrunk kräftig, röstig, mit cremig öligem Mundgefühl, leichte Röstmalzaromen, zur Mitte hin Kaffee und Schokolade mit einer dezenten Bitterkeit bei mittleren IBU, Rumaromen dringend durch und bleiben bei einer likörigen Rumnote die schön von innen Wärmen. Fazit: kräftiges Kaffeebier für echte Kerle, sehr kräftig und alkoholisch, kein leichter Tobak, fast schon zu kräftig. Aber ganz lecker.
