Chestnut Ale
5.0% Brown Ale
Chocolate, vanilla, toffee on the nose. Pours a dark brown with some carbonation. Has the robust feel of a darker stout but not the booziness. It's a decadent winter beer.

Incredible caramel.flavour mixed with the ale. A decent brown ale though in Whistler brewery they did notvadvertise as one. Good rich chestnut colour. One to be savoured.

Cheers to peachmeat for handing me this one. I'll get you back. I approached this brew with zero expectations. Well, I figured it would be nutty. Even when I poured quite aggressively this rich Amber beer produced a conservative and lackadaisical cream head that dissipated even as it formed. My attempts at aromatic analysis affirmed additions such as, creamy chocolate, burnt toffee, vanilla, brown bread, and nuttiness. When it came time to try tasting, it teases the tastebuds with a sweet chocolate, caramel, roast chestnut, vanilla,(almost vanilla or chocolate icecream), and breadiness. There is a wee pinch of hops notes that bring a bit of what I'm tasting as orange. It has a very creamy full bodied mouthfeel. I didn't think I was going to like it based on the smell but I'm glad I was wrong. Thanks again peachmeat. Cheers. We will raise a glass together soon.

Amazing ale. It is sweet, yes, but not sickeningly so. Dark, malty, pours great, and it doesn't taste like stomach acid like all the disgusting hoppy beers that's everyone's wet dream these days.

Love this beer and it usually means the start of the "winter beer season" to me. Can't say I've ever got a ton of chestnut but it's just decadent and tasty...warms me to my core.
