Kuumana vähän liikaa

Tiskillä taisi lukea että alkoholia max 6,1%. Tässä taitaa joka erä olla vähän erilainen? Makukin omaan ja virallisen valvojan suuhun aika eri kun täällä tämän eri versioiden arvioissa. Tässä tuoksua ja makua hallitsee terva. Mukana myös banaania ja hunajaa. Kivan kiisselimäinen ja matalahiilihappoinen perinnejuoma.

Juomani versio oli 7,5%:sta, vaihtuneeko vahvuus erien välillä. Hyvin perinteinen sahti, banaanisuutta myöten. Rukiinen happamuus tuo juomaan ryhtiä.

Samean ruskea olut, ohuella luonnonvalkealla vaahdolla. Kokonaisuus on yllättävän hedelmäinen ja hieman maltainen. Loistava kaupallinen sahti, jota kaikkien pitäisi päästä maistamaan vähintään kerran.

XXIV Finnish Sahti Days @ St Urho's Pub. The last drops of Sahtis are at hand. This is the last one of this year's selection that I want to taste, then I'm done. 👍🏻 Turbid, deep copper, thick nectar with no carbonation flows sluggishly from the canister. A hair-thin ring of minuscule bubbles emerges on the surface. The nose loves the traditional sweet banana nuance with a tad fermented aroma. The rest of the olfactory supply is nil. The taste is a little bit citrusy and puts forward hefty fermented banana. The drink is really thick as if fruit nectar. A fruit-syrupy overall impression is what I get. I also find a distant note of rye malt which is though not sharp-leaning and aggressive at all. Additionally, faint notes of dried apricot and yellow sultanas linger unnoticeably onto the tongue. The robust-bodied beer ends with a cocktail of orange peel, some fermented banana, modest overripe apricot and a tad wheat malt. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds happy over medium duration. The mouthfeel is astonishingly thick, kisel-like and relatively sticky. Hence, it's also lip-glueing and full. The mouthfeel is, moreover, satiating and heavy as well as truly soft. I had given only 2.8 stars for the 6 % version of this Sahti. The characteristics seem not to differ much though. I know that each batch of Sahti may be unique but this wide a deviation is still hard to explain. Nevertheless, this time I seem to be okay with this brew, maybe the 0.5 percentage point increase in ABV has improved the final product.
