Flight 4/6. The beer colors limpid, deep gold. The lively, long-enduring carbonation builds a silky, pure white head that rises up to half a finger. The scent is mild but I can easily pick what I expect: canned apricot. That's all. The palate surprises me: apricot is thin but recognizeable. Nevertheless, it floats in a medium-sour, slightly salty liquid which has been flavored with lemon zest and peel. I also detect, for some reason, a suggestion of licorice. I wonder why... The body is light. The beer ends with salty lemon pulp, a tad lemon peel and a vanishing idea of dried apricot. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for some time. The mouthfeel is light, slightly tart, a bit spiced (but not spicy) and nicely juicy. It's also summery, could make a good thirst quencher on a hot summer day.
