Hazy, gold beer with extrovert, long-lasting carbonation unleashes a clean white, silky head that exceeds one finger. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a pretty lacing adorning the surface for a reasonably long time. The shrinking head marks the glass with a half-inch lacing. The fragrance is somewhat musty and closed: I get lemon peel and a pinch of dried apricot, dry grass and a buttery nuance. I can also trace a leathery aroma in the background. The tongue experiences a rather thin package that consists of lemon peel, a bit of grapefruit and a silent farmhousey whisper. Dry hops feature distinctly among the gustatory elements although their presence is minimized. The light-bodied beer finishes with lemon peel, a tad DDH and a faint piney note. The earthy touch still follows behind the corner. The aftertaste keeps the tastebuds wondering for quite some time. The mouthfeel is light, a bit crisp, relatively dry as well as mouth-drying. It's also slightly earthy and a tad closed. The idea is welcome but the implementation remains too cautious. Rather characterless overall. Finally Friday. Poured straw to golden yellow slightly hazy beer that foams strongly at first. White foam is loose and settles rapidly. Scent to citrusfruits, like many american pale ales often have. Taste is grapefruity, both pulp and peel. Quite onedimensional beer, tame and even watery, easy beer. This lacks stale sidetaste that is too familiar in citrahopped beers, really good exception. Ok beer, not very impressive.
