Flight 4/4.
Clear, deep copper beer with subdued, hasty carbonation builds a cream-yellow, velvety head that falls short of half a finger. The foamy pillow shrinks soon to a thin lacing on top. The retreating foam leaves some horizontal patterns on the glass.
The nose receives caramel malt, a little bit of syrup and toffee.
The gustatory experience is best of all these four, yet even this is quite uninspiring. The taste offers clear caramel malt, some brown biscuit, a bit of dough as well as toffee. I also find a nutty note and sweet brown multigrain bread.
The body is light to light-medium, probably closer to the former than the latter. The finish serves light-sweet caramel malt with a tad bitter tang, a bit of grapefruit and faint dried apricot. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for a brief duration only.
The mouthfeel is light, slightly lip-glueing and mouthcoating. It's also a tad crisp and Eastery.
