Barrel Aged Advent Calendar beer Day 8 Bourbon and caramel in the aroma. Taste has bourbon, dark fruits and oak. Definitely a unique beer,but very well made. One I don't typically seek out, but enjoy every time. 4.25/5

Caramel, bourbon, dark fruits and some oak. Taste has caramel, bourbon, toffee, dark fruits, oak, vanilla and some molasses. The molasses and caramel linger in the aftertaste. Body is full, thick and syrupy with a low amount of carbonation. Somewhat boozy on the finish as well, which can be expected at 14.3% abv. Very enjoyable beer. I have a 2018 bottle in the cellar that I'll sit on for a few years to see how it develops (I hear this one ages beautifully). 4.25/5
