Bourbon and caramel stick out the most in the aroma. Evidence of Belgian yeast as well (banana and cloves). Taste has caramel first, followed by bourbon, cloves and banana. Some oak comes in mid-palate and continues into the back end and aftertaste. Bourbon and oak linger in the aftertaste. Medium-full body with a lower carbonation. I remember liking the regular version, and the addition of bourbon barrel aging takes it to the next level. Excellent tripel. 4.25/5

Tasty beer. Bourbon barrel aging is very apparent. I'll properly review once I try a bottle at home. 4.25/5
