Pater 6 is a traditional abbey style dubbel, chestnut in color, very fruity with notes of melon and very fresh banana, finishing with slight bitterness.
Delightfully easy to drink. (6,7% ABV) One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren.
St.Bernardus Pater 6 is brewed according to the classic Dubbel style with a recipe that dates back to 1946. The name of this beer has become a reference for its style, and it is commonly referred to as ‘een Paterke' in Belgium, which is a Dutch nickname for a monk.
St.Bernardus Pater 6 is a chestnut-brown, dark beer with a creamy head. Impressions of hazelnut and mocha lie at the basis of the mouth feel, which flows into a playful duel between the mild taste of dark candy sugar and a slightly toasted but dry grain character. Plenty of apple and pear aromas make their presence felt all the way to the slightly bitter aftertaste.

Maltainen ja pehmeä dubbel. Ei huono, mutta odotin vähän enemmän ryhtiä ja luonnetta.

Tummanruskiaa Saint Bernardusta tämäki.
On mielestäni peräpäästä näitä Munkkeja, vaikka mukavaa pähkinäisyyttä tässäkin on.
Liika köykäisyys, yhdistettynä kuivaan jälkimakuun ja katkeruuteen jyrää makeuden.
Ihan hyvää toki, mutta heti hain juustoa kaapista kaveriksi.
