It’s just off putting somehow. I’m not sure what the flavor is specifically but it’s almost dirty tasting. Like produce not washed properly.

Beer number three in Clown Shoes "The 12 Beers of Christmas" pack.
Starts with a very chocolate colored head, small bubbles, not very high and dissipated very quickly. Color is opaque brown. Aroma has an alcohol smell that seems stronger than 8%. Texture is moderately heavy but less than I expected. Flavor again comes across with alcohol and a bittersweetness. I get roasted dark chocolate and not so much pecan. Has some caramel coming through in the background. Finishes a dry, unpleasant burnt chocolate, and overtones of alcohol.
I was really looking forward to this brew but I'm sadly disappointed. A Pecan Pie Porter without being able to taste any pecans is a problem.

Definitely has a pecan taste to it. Nutty taste overall but pecan is dominant. Has some molasses and a touch of vanilla.
Overall a 3.25 knowing it was pecan forward. Not one I'd seek but decent for the style
