LEON was initially produced in 1937 as the first ever Cypriot beer. In 1967 an agreement was signed with Carlsberg for the production of the brand in Cyprus. This development led to the termination of LEON production in 1968, just a year before the brewing of Carlsberg begun. Forty years later Leon beer was re-launched and since then it is brewed in the premises of one of the most advanced breweries in the world.
LEON is brewed using German hops of the highest quality, providing a distinctive bitterness and hop’s notes. The selected yeast that is exclusively used for LEON is the key factor for the development of a rich blend of esters which in turn give that extra fruity flavour and aroma to the beer.

Leon the Lion of the island....
Standard lager to be fair and close second to the King of cyprus which is mainly KEO in most restaurants or establishments.
Typical barley lager.... easy to drink and a good go too
