I am not a coffee drinker, didn’t enjoy this as much as I should. That being said the coffee flavour is great lingering at the back of the sip just like an ice cap.

The work week once again ends for me and my mood is far lighter than dark and in no way matches my thirst for a pint. I once again prowl the local shops hoping the brewers have released this seasons stouts and porters but to no avail. Only the same old same old. And just as I'm about to give in... Appearing deep and opaque black, with much particulate, this stout easily defeats my flashlight test. A dark coffee colored head thick and lush forms steadily and would have effortlessly gone higher than two fingers had I allowed it. Falling slowly back it settles in to respectable 2 or 3 cm thick layer. As it pours, an abundant aroma of cold brew coffe seeks out the nose and promises much. Further exploration is easy as layers of coffe, chocolate, and cream.lay heavy over lighter notes of roast barley and licorice. Very luxurious nose on this. Rolling over the tounge the luxuriousness continues. Roast barley, dark chocolate, and dark roast coffee are balanced wonderfully with sweet, creamy, chocolate and a rich depth. Hefty mouth feel and lightly lingering after taste.
