Tasting paddle 4/8.
Muddy, deep dark brown beer with ruby tint and stunningly pretty, light beige, tightly packed mousse-like head that decorates the top basically throughout the entire drink.
The scent is rather surprising and unexpected: woody. I also find a remote roasty aroma and a bit of burned coffee beans.
The tongue loves the light-dry, a bit roasty gustatory experience. Faint burned coffee and a truly distant note of licorice linger additionally on the taste receptors.
The body is light-medium. The beer ends with burned coffee beans, a tad charcoal, faint fennel and a bit of salty licorice. The aftertaste lingers on tongue for a substantially long time.
The mouthfeel is dry, faintly woody, a bit charred and slightly medicinal.
