Tasting paddle 3/4.
Semihazy, brown beer with decent, standard carbonation pours a silky, light beige head that descends over time to a relatively covering but thin, silky layer wafting on the surface.
The attractive cocktail of hefty wheat malt, a bit of sweet orange and a pinch of caramel emits its aromas to the nostrils. I also find a distant suggestion of coriander -- not sure, though, if the beer contains coriander or not.
The tongue experiences a strong, a bit alcoholic package of slightly bitter wheat malt, a bit of wheat flour, a good amount of yeast, bitter orange peel and lemon zest. A faint, bitter caramelly nuance accompanies the nutty whisper. I also taste alcohol which brings in a bit of chemicalness on the tastebuds.
The body is light-medium to medium. The aftertaste pushes forward strong wheat malt, a good injection of yeast, spruce needles and grated lemon peel, followed by very bitter caramel and a faint nutty twist. The finish is medium to long.
The mouthfeel is strong, somewhat stuffy, rather smooth but also slightly tangy as well as distantly alcoholic.
