This beers namesake, Brother Joseph, was a monk and artist who used found objects such as marbles and chunks of concrete and tile to build miniature shrines and buildings in Cullman, Alabama at the Ave Maria Grotto. We have named our Belgian Dubbel after Brother Joseph as a testament to his perseverance, hard work, creativity and his indomitable spirit. A full-flavored abbey-style ale with a complex taste and aroma, Brother Joseph’s Dubbel is filled with specialty malt and dark fruit character.

Decent attempt at a Dubbel. Roasted malt aroma and taste, decent bitterness

Came as draft. Not much head. Clear deep red color. Beautiful. Spicy, full of flavor, which I like. Quick finish.
