Flight 4/5.
Opaque, oily, pitch black beer with subdued, short-lived carbonation unleashes a pale fawn cotton head that adorns the top throughout the entire drink.
The fragrance puts forward dry black malt with a thin burned touch. The palate is relatively dry and a tad burned: black burned malt, a bit of overstayed black coffee, some licorice root and a distinct ashy note.
The body is light-medium. The beer finishes with a somewhat charred nuance, burned malt and unsweet raw licorice and a pinch of roasted coffee beans. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for a long time.
The mouthfeel is dry, relatively strong, faintly oily, somewhat burned and a little bit charred.
