A bit disappointing by Bruny Island standards. A rather average dark ale, not much to remember it by.

Night falls in Hobart. Time for a night cap. 🌘
Murky, dark brown beer with introvert, rapid carbonation unlocks a light gray, velvety head that falls short of half a finger. The foamy layer melts quickly to a frazil-icy lacing wafting on the surface. A couple of downpouring traces are left on the wall of the glass.
The fragrance puts forward brown malt, a good amount of malt extract and weak molasses.
The tongue senses a decent punch of dark malt, a bit of licorice root, some bitter molasses and a medium-hoppy nuance. The palate is rather thin and somewhat crisp.
The body is really light. The beer finishes with crisp, light-hoppy dark malt, a strong injection of harsh licorice root, faint aniseed and a drop of cough syrup. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for some prolonged time.
The mouthfeel is slightly tangy, relatively light, even a bit thin, a tad crisp and faintly lip-glueing.
