Silky smooth with a mild flavour and finish. Malty and slightly nutty but not getting masses of the bourbon ageing, very easy going and drinkable nonetheless. Good value and a definite regular buy.

Opaque, thick, oil-black beer with shy, rapid carbonation lays sluggishly a tan, silky head that falls short of half a finger. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a thin lacing on top. The withdrawing head leaves the glass clean. The nose inhales an unexpected combination of dry ash, faint soot and a tiny pour of Bourbon. I can also detect some harsh oakwood, relatively strong sour cranberry as well as strong coarse oat flour and pea flour like those two latter ingredients in Finnish "talkkuna". Something that I have never encountered in a beer. The tongue loves the massive, superthick dark chocolate that has been floating in Bourbon for a bit too long. I also find bags of cacao nibs, accompanied by an astonishingly distinct pair of raspberry and cranberry. Wet barrel is undeniable. The body is medium-full but feels actually quite robust. The beer finishes with colossal aggressive Bourbon in its own barrel. Raw chocolate follows in the immediate proximity. The berry-rich aroma accompanies, as well, perhaps it's closer to cranberry in the finish. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for some time. The mouthfeel is strong, somewhat sharp and boozy. It's also barrel aged but very young, berry-rich as well as a tad woody. Furthermore, the mouthfeel is oily but not creamy at all. Quite a punch against the tastebuds!
