Translucent, medium-gold beer with fizzy carbonation builds a tiny-bubbled head that grows one finger high. The foamy cap descends rather rapidly to a moldy lacing decorating the top. The retreating foam leaves no traces on the glass. I'm afraid I know both the olfactory and gustatory profiles already before I take a breath or sip. 😒 And indeed: I get too familiar nuances of medium-sweet pale malt, biscuit and a sugary aroma. The hops are absent from the fragrance. The taste follows the suit with malt, biscuit and sugar. The hoppy sphere remains impotent. But there's also a surprise among the gustatory components: maize starch! Am I happy? Hell, no! Fortunately that particular note is rather restrained. The body is really light. The beer finishes with a lame package of pale malt and slightly bitter hops. Both sugar and maize decided to stay away from the finish whose duration is medium. Interestingly, the finish is the best part of this beer and even that is quite weak. The mouthfeel is thin, faintly crisp, a bit lip-glueing and adjuncted.
