Caramel, maple syrup, faint coffee in the aroma. Taste has molasses, maple syrup, coffee that shows up in the mid-palate and some bourbon from the barrel aging. Some dark fruits come through on the back end and linger into the aftertaste along with the bourbon. Medium-full body with a lower amount of carbonation. Tasty barleywine. Hopefully I come across this again one day. 4/5

Maple syrup and faint coffee in the aroma. Some bourbon as well. Taste has maple syrup first, followed by bourbon, coffee, molasses and dark fruits. I'm not a big barley wine fan, but this is pretty tasty. The taste reminds me of Curmudgeon's Better Half. I wish the coffee was stronger. It's there, but in the background. This is probably the best barley wine I've tried. The coffee is showing up more in the aroma as this warms, but the flavor isn't changing much at this point. Slightly bitter, yet sweet at the same time, with a dryness expected from a barley wine. The coffee is starting to show up more now. I may grab another if I make it to the store I bought it from before they run out. 4.25/5
