Sweet malty aroma. Taste has a sweet caramel-like sweetness, perhaps it's even a candied sugar. Quite sweet and just enough warmth on the way down to live up to its name. Good beer, but not much complexity to it. Not sure i'd buy this as a standalone offering, but I'll enjoy my two remaining bottles. 3.5/5

I'm a little surprised to be logging the first one of this beer as I expected others to have gotten to it already. This has a molasses taste up front with dark fruits that are plum and raisin. Has a little roasted nutty malts to it but on the minor side. This is a dark Belgium style beer that is tasty but quite sweet. Still pretty good tho. I've been in a darker side of beers mode tonight & they have all been sweet. None of them are those I'd want to drink in a long term situation but boy they were tasty. I hope the sweetness doesn't catch up to me tomorrow morning. Good night all.
