Pehmeän savuinen, makeahko. Löytyi keräily oluista🫣 b.b 12.10.21 mutta ei oo mennyt vielä huonoksi🤩

Aavistuksen savuinen, täyteläinen. Helposti juotava porter.

One of the oldest Cellar Series beers from my secret stash. Bb date was 12.10.2021, so this has been bottled in 2018.
I've had this beer once before, in this same exact place, from the same exact glass, more than four years ago. Very excited to make a comparison.
0,33l bottle from Rastal Craft Master One. Very difficult to open, as the wax was very thick and hard. I always choose the waxed bottles with the thickest wax, as I believe it protects the beer best.
The glass is filled with slightly translucent Coca-Cola looking beer. Brown foam that disappears quickly.
Scent has a lot of peat and dark roasted malts.
Carbonation is pretty high. Mouthfeel is thick and oily, but the high carbonation dilutes it a bit. I'm going to give it a good spin in the glass and a few minutes after that.
Very rounded taste, as one would expect after 4 years of cellaring. Dark roasted malts, bitter dark coffee, super dark chocolate and a faint sweet honey note. Dry wood, peat, mellow scotch whiskey and no bourbon. Some salty liquorice and smoke. Whiskey flavor intensifies as the beer warms up. Notes of caramel and some floral sensation can be found on the background. Stays firmly on the dry side, yet still manages to glue my lips together. Very peculiar.
Ends with very bitter dark roastiness and warming whiskey.
Big, bold and old. Big flavors with no harsh edges. Bold barreled taste, that is surprisingly intense still. Old, as the last sugars have transformed into carbon dioxide and alcohol, resulting in a mouth watering dryness.
Not sure if this has improved during the years. I gave this 4,1 stars back in the day.
I have a few beers that are of similar age, so I think I'll have to start devouring those, before it is too late.
