West Coast Session IPA 4.5%, Firebrand Brewing Company, England
30 notes
3.4
West Coast Session IPA
4.5% Session IPA
Brewed just like how they do it on the West Coast of America, this one if full of tropical, refreshing flavours and a dry, crisp bitterness. Amber and Clear with an enchanting Elderflower and Orange aroma, we’ve dry hopped with loads of Mosaic and Ekuanot for grapefruit and orange pith flavours.

Quite malty for an IPA as round and sweet but also a resinous flowery ? Rose petal flavour

When I opened the can, despite being stored in optimum conditions, it erupted like a room temperature can of Tennents LA did in the late80s early 90s era. This is not a compliment by the way. Once I’d tamed the lively beast however, I did find that it is an acceptable session beer

Dry, bitter but not too much, citrus but also pithy, not as resinous as some firebrand but that still part of it, high ish alcohol for a session (mosaic and equinot)
