Happy 🦃Thanksgiving to everyone. Recovering from a huge feast at my son's house with lots of family. Back home watching the Egg Bowl. I've been saving this Abita Pecan ale for today. Beautiful full head, looks really good but then disappeared. Very gentle aroma with notes of Amber. Color is a lightly hazy deep copper. It is translucent. First brown ale I can remember that I can definitely see through, not the deep opaque brown I'm accustomed to. Smooth, clean texture. Flavor again does not have brown ale characteristics. Much more of a strong Amber. Starts with smooth, mild toasted nuts then adds an earthy bitterness. Undertones of sweetness appears in the middle, becomes dry in the finish while retaining it's nutty quality. A nice, mild flavored beer, very drinkable. Great Thanksgiving brew.

Has a light pecan taste with some light caramel/toffee. Not an exceptional brown ale but serviceable. Kind of a traditional nutty brown ale type of beer. I love the pic as it somehow added some light flashes that kind of look like a skull. It almost looks like I submerged a skull in my beer. Strange but cool. 💀☠️

One of my favorites! Roasted malt is wonderful! Flavors of wood fire roasted pecans, hints of coffee bean and a very mild malty sweet balanced perfectly with hop bitterness. Perfect for fall but honestly it’s great anytime.

Belle couleur ambrée, au goût noix grillées et légère amertume. On aurait peut être aimé un goût de pecan un peu plus prononcé.
