This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

Kleine aber stabile Schaumkrone. Dunkles Bernstein. Hier trifft feinstes Dörrobst auf Waldhonig. Ein wunderbares , wundereinziges , wunderprächtiges Wunder . Bier können die Belgier. Großes Lob an die Macher 😁.
Trinkt mehr Bier 🍻 es möge wirken

Earthy, caramelly, maybe a little herbal and dark fruit notes.

Bière couleur bronze foncé mousse fine mais durable
Au goût présence un peu forte d alcool malgré le peu de degrés apportant un certain déséquilibre

Medium full and medium sweet body. Malts, perfume and nuts.
Aftertaste adds some minor bitters, grassy hops and some faint caramel tones.
Have to taste the other versions of this as this would have benefited from a fuller body. Delicious anyway.
