My first barley wine ever! Gorgeous color! Orange/red beer with a restraint carbonation. Smell sweet! A alcohol smell is present. The sweet side is caramel and manly barley sugar. You can notice a floral note in the scent. Taste is barley sugar and this floral note. You can notice something like candied fruits. A warmth from the alcohol is present. The beer is round in mouth. A bitterness is present a the end. It’s maybe from the hops, but for me it’s feel like it’s a bitterness coming from burnt/toasted malt and burnt sugar. Well, for me it’s what it’s tasted like. This beer is good. I thought it will be more sweet/sugary. The taste was not that complex. I don’t know. It’s my first barley wine so my review maybe isn’t the best! I enjoyed it enough to try a another one. I have to say, even if I would not like it, I would have try another barley wine! Cheers!
