Grodziskie is the only beer style in the world with a completely Polish origin. Its mini-homeland is Grodzisk Wielkopolski, where it was brewed most probably from the Middle Ages. It is very pale, and light on alcohol with a characteristic aroma of smoked malt, slightly acidic profile and very lively carbonation. Bitterness is low, which only raises its refreshing qualities. Not without reason, it used to be once called Champagne of the North.
