As my vacation slowly wears away, I reflect on the lack of adventurism I've indulged in on these days away from the shackles of necessary financial obligation. So whilst feeling penitant I decided the least I could do was try a new beer.
If I had been handed this unknowingly I would swear it was wine.
Almost vibrant ruby red in colour, it frightens me with absurdity. It builds a small short lived pink head that does little to distract from the very vinous scent that hits from afar.
As I dare to sampling the olfactory bouquet I am again startled at the very wine like aroma this puts off.
Earthy and rich with piles of black current, it also hold notes of cranberry and black berry.
Happily the likeness to wine if much reduced on the tongue, still present but mild. Heavy earthiness and black currant are major components of this decently tart sour. Again suggestions of cranberry. Body is medium and crisp and clean. The sourness maintains in the aftertaste but not a lot of the berry flavors. I can tell there are hops in it, but couldn't tell you what they are doing.
I really enjoy the earthiness in this beer.

This has some meat on the bones, reminds me of drinking a slightly sour juice.
